If you’re like most people, you probably use your Instagram password to protect your account from unauthorized access. But if you’re ever worried about someone gaining access to your account, there are a few things you can do to help protect yourself.

  1. Use a strong password. One of the most common ways to protect yourself from unauthorized access is to use a strong password. Make sure that your password is at least 8 characters long and has at least one letter and one number in it.
  2. Use two-factor authentication. Two-factor authentication helps protect your account by requiring you to provide two pieces of information, such as your username and password, in order to log in. This can help prevent someone from logging in without having both pieces of information.
  3. Change your username and password regularly. If you don’t change your username and password regularly, someone may be able to guess them based on their past login attempts or other evidence that they are who they say they are.

Instagram accounts are a popular target for hackers. I know firsthand, because someone pretended to be me to try and steal some accounts. Fortunately they didn’t succeed, but if you have a weak password, you might not be so lucky. Let’s look at how to change your Instagram password to something a little more secure.
